Welcome to November

October was kind-of a whirlwind month around here - so much happened - so much to be thankful and prayerful about!

On the 3rd, our 3rd had his 3rd birthday. : ) That’s right, Judah turned three! He’s pretty convinced he’s 7, though. . . . For his birthday, he got everything he’s ever wanted: superhero stuff, a injin sword (a.k.a. ninja sword), and a “brown” cake.

A three-year old enjoying a brown cake.
Bethany was pretty sure the Superman hoodie was for her - even though it was way too big!

We also were able to begin our first garden - which the squirrels have been delighting in, too. :/ A new way to learn how to trust!

Mercy, helping transplant pepper seedlings into the garden beds.

On a more spiritual note, the last week of October began the meeting of the church plant, Life Fellowships (woo hoo!), and a neighborhood Bible study outreach: GitLit. The former is going through the book of Matthew, being currently taught by Tony Haverkorn, with worship being lead by Jason. The latter is going through the book of Colossians and is being lead by our friend and neighbor, Thomas Brooks. Even though these two ministries are only weeks old, we have already been blessed to be a part of them both! Please keep them both in your prayers, as well as the families ministering in them: the Haverkorns (Tony, Suzanne, Savanah, and Kelcie) and the Brooks (Thomas, Taqueshia, Princeton, Ashlynn, and Anava).

First night of GitLit!

For more info on Life Fellowships, check out our new little website and our Facebook page (yeah, we are so techy. Haha.)

On the neighborhood kids front, more seem to be added to our lives every month! During our garden planting escapade, we met two more kids who live on the street behind us. Please continue to pray with us as we reach out to these kids. I'll be adding the kids names on our prayer page, please check it out so you can pray for them all specifically!
