Camp Update

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support this year for the teen camp and the orphans who attended. With the gifts you sent, eleven orphans were able to attend the camp! Praise the Lord.

We have just received an update on the camp from our dear friend Tanya, who was a counselor at the camp this summer. We are passing her letter on to you for your encouragement. Tanya is a German major at the university we attended, and she is minoring in English. She wrote the following letter herself in English and provided us with all the pictures you see in this update.

Dear brother and sisters in Christ!

We want to thank you for the help, for the financial and prayer support in realization of summer Christian Camp in the Far East of Russia. You helped the kids from the orphanages to attend our summer Christian camp. The camp was from 13 till 25 of July. The location of the camp is in the forest on the river Zeya, 66 km far from Blagoveshchensk. This year it rained a lot. And it was such a danger of flood, but praise the Lord we didn’t have it. It was a blessed camp. The main theme of the camp was a medical academy. Each day was dedicated to one of the members of our body, for example heart, eye, ear, mouth. And it was presented in the light of the Bible. The main Verse was Psalm 139:14. There was baptism in the camp. 6 people were baptized. We had hiking during the camp, where the kids could test there knowledge, which they got during the discussions, Bible hours, games. Right know we keep in touch with the kids and will continue to work with them. We want to ask you for prayer support, that the kids would not be lost in this «after camp» life. We are grateful to the Lord that He uses us in His work. Thank you for your help! May God bless you!

in Christ,
