During the two weeks of camp the mosquitoes were our constant companions. When there was no rain they were everywhere. When there was rain (which was often, unfortunately) they congregated in the places the rain wasn’t – which just so happened to be the places the campers congregated as well.
Thanks to her footed jammies, only her little hands and face were available for dinner, but that bug sure did have a meal. The next morning when we awoke her poor little face was covered in bites.
Rachel actually counted them and there were over 40. It was a very sad sight and unfortunately there was nothing we could do for her.
After that episode our pastor gave us his repellent lotion, which we were able to put on little faces. Praise God for chemicals!

Poor little thing! Micah and I got some bug bites this summer too, but no more than 7-9 at a time - not 40! Hope she's healing up and not feeling too itchy.
