Yep, we did. But this time, instead of changing states, we only moved a few blocks away. And instead of renting, we bought a house. That’s right, friends! As of September first we are first-time home owners! It was a rough ride getting there, but we were so blessed to have the support and help of our family - we definitely could not have done it without them!
The kids are loving their new house. They have already met the neighbors behind us and play with their daughter and pit bulls almost daily through the fence. They are also excited to have a nice big room that can hold all of them and their toys. ;)
The girls both started second grade this month, and aren’t the most excited about it, but they’re doing well. Judah started kindergarden, and after the first day he was in tears… because he didn’t want to be done with schoolwork for the day! Silly boy.
As far as ministry goes, Life Fellowships continues to meet in the martial arts studio (nicknamed “The Hub”), and we have been blessed to have 2 families join in the past two months! Please pray that our Father will grow us together as His Body. We are also beginning a mid-week home study on how to study the Word (Inductive Bible Study). This week is our first meeting, and we are excited about it!
We would appreciate prayers for the Saturday night GitLit ministry. A couple weeks ago Thomas was told by the city to take down the tent, as it was “too big” for a residential yard. So we are taking a sabbatical from the Saturday night study to seek the Lord as to what happens next. Please pray that we will follow where He leads, and that He will continue to use us to spread His Light to this community.
