We don't want to sound like sissies, but it's been pretty chilly here lately. The past few days haven't gotten above the low 50's, and the nights in the upper 30's or low 40's. It even snowed a tad on Sunday as we were walking to church! Here in Blagoveshchensk the heat is run by the building, so we don't have any control over when the heat goes on or off, or even what temperature it's set at. Jason was told that once the average temperature for several days in a row is 8 C (46 F) or below, they'll turn the heat on. So we have been waiting patiently, wearing our hoodies inside (Jason was even wearing 2 in the mornings). And today the heat came on. We are very excited to be warm again, even though Rachel isn't looking forward to how hot it gets inside during the winter. Praise the Lord for heat and electricity!
It seems they are still working out some kinks in the lift, but we are hopeful that it will be working again soon. We are so grateful to finally have one that works (at least a few days out of the week!). What a blessing!
