February Prayer Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Praise the Lord! At last we have our student visas! With those in hand we set the date for our departure for Russia. On February 17th we will be driving from Bozeman to Salt Lake City, Utah, where we will fly to Los Angeles, say a quick good-bye to Jason’s parents at the airport, and then head to Moscow. From Moscow we will fly to Khabarovsk, where our friend and fellow missionary Steve Paul and a Russian believer will meet us. They will help transport us and our luggage on the 12-hour train ride to Blagoveshchensk. It will be quite a trip, but we are blessed to be taking it with Ted Ethridge, the pastor of our church, and Luke Mardock. They will be with us for 8 days before heading back to the States.

Upon our arrival in Blagoveshchensk we will need to reapply for our student visas right away. The visas that the Russian Consulate here issued us are only good until March 7th. We have been told there will not be any problems with this, but we appreciate your prayers just the same!

While we are excited to finally be on our way, it is going to be hard to be so far away from our families (church families included). We praise the Lord that He is with us wherever we go, and trust that He will bless our relationship with the Paul family and the Russian believers that we will meet.

God is graciously and faithfully providing all our needs through His riches. We know that He will continue to, and we thank all of you who have freely given to us (and those who plan to) to help us follow His call to Russia. May our Father add to you over and above what you have given!

Thank you all for your love and prayers. Next time you hear from us we should be in Russia!
