Dear Family and Friends,
Happy New Year! We pray that you all had a blessed Christmastime reflecting on the Love of our Savior as He came to be a ransom for us.
We were grateful to be able to share this Christmas with Jason's parents and older brother in California. It was a blessing to be able to spend time with them before heading over to Russia, and the girls were totally spoiled with all the "Gamma and Gamma" time.
While in California, we had planned to submit our visa applications to the Russian Consulate in San Francisco. The day we were going to submit them, Jason decided to look on their website one last time. It's a good thing he did, because there in the list of requirements for student visas were 4 new bullets!
Needless to say, it was a little discouraging. But after prayer and being assured by the consulate that "those have always been there…" we got to work. As it always seems to go, the requirements that we thought would take the least amount of time to complete have taken the longest. But God has been very gracious and we are almost ready (again) to submit our visa applications.
Please continue to pray for us as we finish up the new requirements and submit our visa applications. We would like to be able to purchase tickets before Havilah turns two on February 19. After that we will be buying three tickets instead of two. Either way, we know that our Father will provide.
Thank you all for your prayers and love. We are so blessed to have you all as part of our family.
